The EMU Tree, Education and Music in Unison was founded in 2012 by Head facilitator Christian Teusner who has over 23 years experience internationally working in Youth Development and Mentoring. During this time Christian has worked with many thousands of young people of a vast array of nationalities and cultures with the priority and focus on positive experiences, engagement and inclusion.
Testimonial from a parent: “Kudos to you Christian Teusner for being such a genuine and creative wonder. Making a life as an artist is a tough gig and I reckon you have nailed it – your work with young people from all over the place, providing them with opportunities to experiment, learn and find their voice is incredible. You have such a gentle and optimistic nature that you use brilliantly to make young people feel comfortable, safe and capable of achieving great things – it is inspiring. I have no doubt that many have stepped into a workshop with you, believing they can’t sing, play an instrument, write a song or even participate in other rudimentary ways, but I know that with the trust, kindness and practical wisdom you offer, they discover that they can actually do all of those things – and walk out feeling ten foot tall. Well done to you!!”
Christian also has a passion for documenting oral histories: https://thewaywewere.podbean.com
